You just need to be willing to pay it." is a great reminder of this.

Re: 8 Benefits of Email Marketing and Why You Must Build Your List

Email enables you to personalize and greet every person you target. I make what I call a declaration...I basically tell anyone that will listen what I'm doing and why and now I have all of these people in and out of my life holding me accountable. I wouldn't want to look foolish so I have no choice but to do whatever it is that I declared. I wrote a post on it a few weeks ago making a new declaration while I was at it! Would love your thoughts on it if you have time! http://www.marcensign.com/h...

Re: 8 Benefits of Email Marketing and Why You Must Build Your List

This is Great, email marketing is best for your internet marketing business. this article really helps a lot on how to do right Email Marketing. and if you will focus on the things that you are doing.
http://jamestolve.com/email...

Re: Finding Your Purpose by Living On Purpose

Me, myself, I still have no clue about what my purposes are. We are doing a presentation and wondering what numbers specifically would someone be looking at to measure how influential one is with their FB Pages/profiles.
I am also desperately looking to find an app or service that can combine these numbers for me for all the pages I admin (looked at Social Sprout but their numbers are 'Impressions' and we are, I think, looking for actual 'talking about' numbers. There seems to be no-one who can do this for us (we have 40 FB Pages).
Are you available to help me for any length of time get my numbers in order for my presentation?
Thanks,
Debbie
email: debbie@weepiggies.com

Re: Measuring Facebook’s Most Engaging Pages & “People Talking About This” Percentage

Cool. Wasn't sure about our page but while we are only starting and have about 5,500 likes (growing pretty quickly, at least to me!), our fan engagement is over 25%.

Re: If it’s important you’ll find a way. I hope your book becomes just that, a future bestseller. : ) You should start working on your platform long before you actually need it, as far in advance as you can. The stronger your platform, the better your chances are at getting published (by a traditional publisher if you are going that route). Of course, you need to have a strong book idea and writing as well but the platform is equally as important these days in order to help you stand out. There really is no “benchmark” as far as what type of numbers you need to have. You just need to have an audience of some kind so that when you publish your book you have people who are already potential buyers. If you have not done so, I would strongly encourage you to pick up “Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World” by Michael Hyatt. It is a fantastic book that addresses many of these questions and provides specific answers.

Re: 14 Platform Building Tips for Authors

Hi Daniel! I am in the process of working on my future best seller and somehow stumbled on your website. GREAT resource and perfect timing! Very grateful! Looking forward to digging deeper into your content.

As for this article, how long would you say you should be working on your platform before sending out a book proposal? Do you have specific goals in terms of numbers? What are publishers looking for in terms of platform and interaction with your community?

Re: 7 Helpful Marketing Tips for Authors (and Those with Something to Say or Sell)

I'm reading Hyatt's book right now and it's the clearest, most concise and helpful book I've found on the subject. I'd add that instead of thinking of marketing as something you have to do (usually accompanied by an "oh yuck" face), think of it as a way you get to connect with readers - which is a fun thing!

Re: 7 Helpful Marketing Tips for Authors (and Those with Something to Say or Sell)

Thanks for the great information and the link to Michael's book!
